Leicester host the Men in Black this Sunday at 3:00pm, with both teams looking for a convincing victory after a disappointing run of losses.
Owen Farrell will go head-to-head against fellow England fly-half George Ford in what looks to be fantastic matchup of two key players for both sides.
Sunday’s game was to be the second match back for Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi, who is still working to get back to full fitness after a knee injury early in the season, but his appearance in the game is now looking doubtful after a dangerous tackle on Munster flanker Chris Cloete last Sunday.
Tigers full-back Telusa Veainu will be absent from the game, after suffering a double fracture to the jaw in Leicester’s clash against Munster on 9th December.
Saracens, who are currently third in the table, will need a strong performance against the Tigers as they look to catch up with Premiership leaders Exeter, who are nine points ahead in the table.
After a disappointing double loss against Clermont last week, Mark McCall, Saracens’ Director of Rugby, hopes his team will come out stronger than ever on Sunday, saying: “Everyone’s saying that it felt good and felt better out there today but there’s more to come, of course we can improve and have to if we want to win games like that; there’s improvement in us for definite.
“We all know that we’re going to get through this patch, whether it’s next week in Leicester or the week after at Allianz Park against Worcester.
The weekend of action starts at Sixways for Worcester’s clash against London Irish on Friday, with the Tigers match concluding the Christmas action.
