The biggest sales event on the retail calendar is nearly here.
Last year we saw an increased focus on online deals as many shoppers avoided the instore chaos and grabbed the best Black Friday discounts without stepping out of their homes. To help you get the most of the Black Friday period we’ve handpicked a selection of retailers to keep an eye on this year, helping you get ahead of the curve.
Currys PC World
This year Currys PC World will continue its tradition of offering top tech and appliance deals over the Black Friday period. In previous years we’ve seen many great online deals including £700 off selected Samsung 4K TVs, £200 off selected HP laptops and discounted tablets from £29.99. To help their customers get the most out of their Black Friday shopping this year they’ve also released a handy Black Friday survival guide.
For the gamers among you GAME offers some of the best deals in the market for consoles and games. With FIFA 19 released in September you can expect to see some decent discounts on the latest version of the ever-popular football game. We’ve seen massive discounts on console bundles in previous Black Fridays and expect to see the same this year, so if you’re looking for a package deal on an Xbox One, PS4, or Nintendo Switch then keep an eye out over the coming weeks.
Debenhams have already launched their Black Friday landing page ready for the discount period, helping shoppers to keep up with the latest deals across the department store. Last year Debenhams offered up to 70% off selected products with some of the biggest discounted products being clothing, fragrances, electrical and appliances. For 2018 we expect to see many deals to follow in a similar vein and Debenhams are already promoting a variety of offers in the run up to Black Friday!
Boots have already begun to drop hints at big discounts on perfume, gifts and electrical beauty. With many shoppers grabbing their Christmas presents over the Black Friday period, Boots will prove a good spot to grab some deals. The retailer has also launched many online-only deals, meaning you can do all your Black Friday shopping from the comfort of you own home!
Typically when people think of Black Friday they think of large discounts on electric devices and appliances. However, as the years have gone on more retailers have jumped on the Black Friday bandwagon, including many travel companies. Last year Expedia offered holidaymakers a massive 50% off selected hotels as well as £330 off when spending £800 or more on selected flights. So, if you’re looking to grab some winter sun this year keep an eye on Expedia’s website to see if you can get a great deal on your holiday!
